The city is located at the foot of the monumental headland Peñón de Ifach, which dominates the landscape and offers breathtaking views. This rocky limestone mountain, reaching a height of 332 meters, was declared a national park in 1987. Peñón de Ifach has become home to a rich local flora and fauna, including 300 species of animals and many species of birds that nest here every year.

For the adventurous souls, there are various routes leading to the top of the rock where impressive views can be experienced. Regardless of whether you choose to climb with or without a guide, the effort is worth it and the experience at the top of Peñón de Ifach is unforgettable.

The city is also famous for its beautiful beaches. Head to its white sandy beaches, ideal for families and singles alike, and explore the coves where fascinating marine life can be observed. Among the most popular beaches are Playa de Levante or La Fossa.

Calpe is the ideal destination for all cycling enthusiasts. Thanks to its hilly roads and views, it attracts cyclists from all over the world, as well as professional teams, who choose it as their base for training camps. So it's no wonder that Calpe and its surroundings regularly host stages of the Vuelta de España, Spain's biggest cycling race.
